End of Spring Term Review

What an amazing time we've had during the Spring Term!

The spring term may be the shortest of the school year but the children have thoroughly enjoyed it.

Academically, the cohort have made great progress: developing their accuracy with times table facts; improving arithmetic scores in our weekly tests; understanding more of the SPaG vocabulary they need to learn this year; and further developing their use of a range of Y4 writing skills.

In our wider curriculum subjects, we have really enjoyed our geography lessons on Asia where we have compared the UK and China. The children should be able to tell you lots of facts now about how the two places compare. In science we finished our topic of electricity and moved onto learning about our teeth. The children are now much more aware of the effects drinking different liquids have on their teeth which for some of them has been a very eye-opening experience.

We've also enjoyed performing the ABBA classic 'Mamma Mia' during our music lessons; thinking about data collection in our computing topic; exploring lights in design and technology and developing our racquet skills in badminton.

We now look forward to a summer term packed full of exciting things - more on this to follow.
