Friday 22nd September saw the year 4 team complete a combined 100 mile walk on the all weather running track on the school fields.

The children were excited to begin their challenge and after a quick pep talk from Mr MacDonald and Miss Rooney, they took their first steps towards their target.

The music was blasting and the children were wearing broad smiles as they completed their first couple of laps. By laps 4 and 5, some of the children looked like they were tiring whilst others had started to jog round the track!

We reached the halfway point and a cheer erupted on the track. The pace was picked up and before we knew it, we had completed 805 laps of the track, smashing our 100 mile target!

Both Mr MacDonald and Miss Rooney told the children how proud we are of them for their fantastic achievement - they showed great resilience in completing what was an ambitious target.
