Week 7- Update

As we approach the final week of this half term, the Y3 team would like to say a huge well done to the children for their hard work and learning attitudes. We have seen the children mature and settle into life at Rosehill and we could not be more proud of them all.

The halloween disco is on Tuesday 21st October 2025 and will be straight after school and end at 4.30pm. The children can come to school in their halloween costumes. Entry to the disco costs is one pound and the children may bring additional monies as there will be hot dogs, crips and drinks available to purchase.

Can we politely ask parent / carers to send their child with a coat. The weather is very unpredictable at the moment and we have some children , on the colder days, not having a coat.

Children must also bring a water bottle to school. We have several children who are not bringing one and we don't have cups in the classroom to provide the children with.


Notices:
🛑 Children must come to school in uniform on PE days. We have changing facilities were the children will change into their PE kits and then get back changed for classroom learning. This helps promote independence and develop life skills.
🛑 Children need a water bottle with them in school everyday and a coat.
🛑Tuck shop is available everyday with items priced at 40p alternatively you can send your child to school with a nut free snack such as a breakfast bar or fruit.
🛑We have a child in school with a severe nut allergy so please refrain from sending your child to school with any nut based products in their packed lunch.
🛑PE day for Y3 is Monday and Wednesday. Your child will need a white t- shirt, black shorts and appropriate footwear (trainers or pumps)
🛑 If your child has asthma please ensure that you have completed a medication form at the main office and that you have supplied school with an inhaler which has been prescribed by your doctor and is in date.



This weeks learning:
⭐️ English/Reading - the children will be working within their groups on comprehension/ phonics skills.
⭐️Maths - We will be continuing work on addition and subtraction and looking at different ways to solve calculations.
⭐️PSHE - we are looking at school values and what we would deem to be the perfect school.
⭐️Computing - we are teaching the children all about design templates and what features they can include on the computers
⭐️ Art - The children will be completing and evaluating their own pieces
⭐️Spanish - we will be learning how to greet each other and introduce ourselves.
⭐️We are starting our Geography project this week - all will be revealed - no spoilers just yet.
