Year 4 art inspired by Hokusai.

In PSHE, the children worked together in groups to discuss different viewpoints and collaborate to reach a shared decision. We used a courtroom role play to bring this to life, with everyone taking on a different role and contributing to the final outcome. 🧩

Children acted out what it was like down by the Indus River at the time of the Indus Valley Civilisation. What sort of jobs did people have by the river? What might they have traded? 

In our first art lesson, the children were introduced to the renowned Japanese artist Katsushika Hokusai. They explored his artwork and began creating their own two-page spread about the artist, including key facts and information about his life and work. 🎨
