End of Autumn 1 Week 2 - Messages and Updates

We've had another great week in Y6 this week. We have completed a set of assessments and the children have responded to these brilliantly. We have also carried out a kit check ready for our upcoming trip to Whitby which we are very excited about.

A huge congratulations to Daisy and Olivia-Rose who are the next two children in Y6 to receive special mentions - you should be really proud of yourselves!

In writing, we have completed our descriptive settings, including the features we have been studying for the past week.

In reading, we have continued our novel from transition 'Room 13' and started looking at how we answer questions accurately.

In maths, we have looked at powers of 10 before completing two reasoning and problem solving questions.

In art, we started looking at our feature artist James Brunt - we have made a cover page for him in our art books.

As we look forward to next week, please remember that any of the children not attending the residential will be required to attend school as normal. Anyone who is attending the residential, watch this space for some last minute reminders and prompts!
