Week 7 - Autumn Term Update

What a busy week we've had in Y5. Following out successful residential last week, the children have returned to school and thrown themselves into their learning. This week, we have also had some wonderful events including a panto dance workshop and a visit from PC Paul around Halloween and Bonfire Night.

A big thank you to all the parents/carers who also attend out meet the teacher appointments at the beginning of the week. We appreciate your support.

We are having another big push on reading in Y5 so we would be extremely grateful if you could read with your child at home and log this in their home reading journal.

In English the week, the children have been looking at their new text type 'Character Description' and have looked at the features, including similes and personification.

Maths has been tricky this week but the children have handled it extremely well working on factors and common factors.

In Art, the children are nearly at the completion point of their Ancient Greek vases (with printing), which we cannot wait to share with you all.

Another wonderful week in Y5. One more week to go before half-term.
