For Michael Rosen Day, Year 5 enjoyed a wonderful poetry morning inspired by one of his funniest poems, Hot and Cold Food. The classroom was full of creativity as pupils wrote their own versions, adding imaginative twists, surprising foods, and plenty of humour.

After writing, the children teamed up to rehearse and perform their poems, bringing them to life with actions, expression, and lots of laughter. Their performances were full of energy and truly captured the playful spirit of Michael Rosen’s work.

It was a fantastic morning celebrating poetry, performance, and creativity—well done, Year 5!
