End of Autumn 1 Week 5 - Messages and Updates

What a great week we've had in school this week!

We've published our very first pieces of writing (which are excellent), investigated which materials dissolve in water, refined our skills in rugby and considered whether Alexander the Great was really great!

Next week is a big one in year 5:

Most of us are off to Herd Farm for what we're sure will be an amazing residential experience - hopefully the bags are all packed and ready, the children are excited and the alarms are set for an early start on Monday - the doors will be open at 7:40am and we ask that all children attending the residential are at school no later than 7:45am. Please make sure their rucksacks have in them a packed lunch, a full water bottle (which won't leak) and their waterproofs.

Anyone bringing medication - take it to Mr Mac on arrival and he will check it off.

Remember, quick cuddles on Monday and leave the children with us - we will look after them for you. Don't worry if there are any last minute tears, we are used to this and the pictures of them smiling later in the day will put your minds at ease.

For anyone not attending the residential, you have the pleasure of Mrs Bourke teaching you for 3 days. You will be working on a topic related play that you will perform for the rest of the children later in the week. I know from feedback last year that the children thoroughly enjoyed this task so hopefully it will be the same this year.

Parents - keep your eyes on classdojo throughout the week for pictures of us having a whale of a time, be it at Herd Farm or in school.
