Mesmerising Mythology

During our History lesson this week, the children took part in an imaginative and engaging activity as they explored the myth of Medusa. We began with a creative "Let's say..." session, where the class brought the story to life through drama and freeze-frames.
Transported to the ancient temple of Athena, the children became statues, warriors, and characters from Greek mythology. They observed how Medusa, once a beautiful woman, was transformed into a feared creature of legend.
This active and inclusive approach helped the children develop a deeper understanding of the myth and the beliefs of ancient Greek society. Most importantly, they found the experience fun, memorable, and a fantastic way to connect with history.
