What a week it’s been in Year 6! It’s been lovely to have everyone back together after our fantastic residential to Whitby, and we’ve certainly been busy! ⭐

📝 English
We’ve started our new unit on diary entries. We’ve spent time reading and comparing different examples and using our writing toolkits to identify the key features we’ll need when we come to write our own.

➕ Maths
We’ve completed our Place Value unit and are now ready to move on to our next unit – the Four Operations.

📚 Guided Reading
We’ve continued reading Room 13, exploring Chapters 18 and 19 and developing our retrieval, vocabulary and inference skills.

🧬 Science
We’ve started our new topic, Evolution and Inheritance, beginning by exploring inherited characteristics and how features can be passed from parents to their offspring.

🏃 PE
We’ve continued with our Fitness unit and also enjoyed getting active and trying out some of our new Kerby equipment.

🇪🇸 Spanish
We’ve been learning how to talk about different school subjects in Spanish.
