Weekly Update

AU1 WK5

What a fantastic week Year 4 have had! From the curiosity shown in our science experiment, to the creativity in our art project, and the excellent focus demonstrated in writing their own character descriptions, all children have worked hard and made us proud.

In history, the children explored how the Indus Valley civilisation may have ended. They took on the role of historians and enjoyed debating whether the civilisation was lost because of invaders or a natural disaster.

In science, the children loved taking part in an experiment to investigate the melting points of different materials, including cheese, butter and cola bottles.

Our art lesson was full of creativity and excitement as the children carefully carved potatoes to create patterns for printing. They showed brilliant perseverance and produced some fantastic designs.

Special Mentions:

Special mentions this week went to Finley M in 4H, and Everleigh E in 4P. A big well done to you both!

Thank you, as always, for your continued support.

Warm regards,

Mr Piper & Mr Hampton
