Weekly Update

Autumn 1, Week 3

It has been a fantastic week, with lots of learning taking place. In History, the children learnt why the Indus Valley civilisation was built beside the Indus river. They did particularly well when acting out different jobs people may have had. We saw lots of excellent freeze frames, with children taking on the roles of fishermen and people selling goods such as food and jewellery.

In Maths, the children have worked hard on some challenging concepts. They showed great resilience when flexibly partitioning numbers and using number lines up to 10,000.

In English, the children produced some excellent character descriptions of the BFG. They were able to include a range of features, such as similes and expanded noun phrases.

Special Mentions:
Special mentions this week went to Khairat in 4H and Phoebe in 4P for their efforts and positive learning attitude. Well done to you both!

Have a lovely weekend and thank you for your valued support.
