Crime and Consequence

This week, the children in Years 5 and 6 took part in a special assembly led by PC Paul, focusing on the important topic of crime and consequences. During the session, pupils learnt more about the justice system and explored the different consequences that can be linked to a variety of crimes and poor choices.

The children were highly engaged throughout and enjoyed discussing real-life scenarios, thinking carefully about how actions can impact both individuals and the wider community. A highlight of the assembly was the opportunity to take part in a role-play court hearing, where pupils acted out different roles within the courtroom and worked together to decide on fair and appropriate consequences for certain crimes.

The session encouraged thoughtful discussion, helped pupils to develop a greater understanding of responsibility and decision-making, and reinforced the importance of making positive choices. The children represented the school brilliantly and participated maturely and respectfully throughout.
