History of Rotherham day

This week, Year 5 took a trip to Magna Science Adventure Centre and AESSEAL New York Stadium to celebrate History of Rotherham Day.

We started the day with a workshop at Magna, where the children explored the lives of steelworkers over the decades and learnt about how steel was forged. The children then had time to explore Magna’s interactive exhibits before watching the spectacular Big Melt demonstration.

Later, we travelled to the New York Stadium, where the children took part in a workshop about the history of Rotherham United F.C. and enjoyed a behind-the-scenes stadium tour.

It was a wonderful day full of learning, exploration, and memorable experiences for all involved.
