What a fantastic week we have had in year 5 this week. we have really enjoyed getting stuck into writing our own narratives based on our how to train your dragon novel, we've loved showing our progress in our fractions unit of work and we've had some really great afternoon lessons, particularly computing where we have learnt about making videos.

Next week:

In English, we will be finishing our own narratives so please ask the children about their writing.

In maths, we will be moving on to looking at equivalent fractions and decimals. 

In guided reading, we will be working on improving the quality of our answers, again using our 'How to Train Your Dragon' novel.

In history, we will continue our current unit, focussing on the arrival of the Normans and the legacy they left behind.

In P.E., we will continue developing our own dance routines.

In PSHE, we will continue thinking about the careers we want later in life and how these differ from children from other cultures.

In science, we will continue our unit on Earth and space.

In languages, we will continue our unit on the date.
