Ancient Greek Vases
This week, the children completed their final piece in our Printing unit — and what a wonderful way to end the first term! Using their carefully developed final designs, the children created beautiful repeating patterns, which they then applied to their own Ancient Greek-style vases.
Through studying real examples of Ancient Greek pottery, they also designed a central image for their vase, inspired by themes and stories from Ancient Greece. The results were truly impressive — each child produced a unique and creative piece of art that showcased both their printing skills and their historical understanding.
It was a fantastic way to celebrate the end of our first half-term, and we are so proud of all the children’s hard work and creativity!
