Miss Bruce's 'Can you cook it?' Challenge

Are you ready for a challenge Rosehill children? Each week, 5 new weekly challenges will be set by the teachers in school, as well as Mr Holmes and Mr Wagstaff. You have a week to complete the challenge. If you would like to, please share your response by emailing with your pictures, videos etc and we will post it to this page.

We hope as many of you can take part as possible. We encourage you to take part in as many of the challenges as you like, you don't just have to do the ones set by your class teacher.

Hi everyone,

I hope you’re all keeping safe and well. I’ve been really enjoying seeing what you’ve been getting up to on the learning blog and through the teacher challenges. There were some delicious looking entries into the pizza challenge.

For my third challenge, I would like you to make a meal for everyone in your house. It might be breakfast, it might be lunch, it could be your favourite meal, it could be a meal you make as a family or it might be a brand new culinary experience for you all!

Remember to send in your pictures and tell me what it is you’ve been cooking - I’m looking forward to seeing your pictures already!

Cookery Challenge 2

Hi Everyone!

I hope you’re all still safe and well. I loved seeing some of your entries into the malteser challenge and there’s a great one this week too - pizza!

Your challenge to make your own pizza at home. You can make it however you would like to – you might use a tortilla for the base, you might use bread for the base or you might want to make your own dough. Then, cover with your favourite toppings.

The photos of mine are below…

I can’t wait to see your entries. Happy Cooking!

Hi everyone!

I hope you’re all keeping safe and busy. One of my favourite things to do is bake and cook. I’ve seen on twitter and the blog that lots of you have been busy in your kitchens too so my challenge to you is to create a malteser cake.

It is completely delicious (and so easy to make). Be careful though – once you’ve made it, you’ll have to keep a close eye on it to make sure it isn’t gobbled up before you have a piece!

You can find and use your own recipe if you’d like to but, if you want to make the same one I did, these are the ingredients:

100g margarine or butter

3 tablespoons of golden syrup

200g milk chocolate (I always use the cheapest chocolate – usually about 20-30p a bar)

100g white chocolate

225g digestives

200g maltesers (a multi-bag of mini malteser packets is sometimes the cheapest way of getting 200g)

Ellie completed the challenge all by her self with this wonderful creation

Osi had great fun completing the challenge and look at that amazing creation

Abbie not only completed the challenge (with help from her big sister) but she made her mum a birthday cake too!

Emily has completed the challenge by making this excellent cake

Jack has completed the challenge with this excellent malteser cake

After googling a recipe, Macy weighed out all the ingredients and made these excellent coconut and jam filled buns.

Sam has completed the challenge - rewarding himself with maltesers along the way

Carter not only completed the challenge but added some cornflake buns for good measure

Darci has made her very own gluten free chocolate chip buns which look amazing!

The MacDonald entry - covered in mint chocolate!

Lexi has completed the challenge

Jake looks like he has really enjoyed completing this challenge
