Are you ready for a challenge Rosehill children? Each week, 5 new weekly challenges will be set by the teachers in school, as well as Mr Holmes and Mr Wagstaff. You have a week to complete the challenge. If you would like to, please share your response by emailing blog@rosehill-juniors.co.uk with your pictures, videos etc and we will post it to this page.
We hope as many of you can take part as possible. We encourage you to take part in as many of the challenges as you like, you don't just have to do the ones set by your class teacher.
Hi everyone,
I hope you’re all keeping safe and well. I’ve been really enjoying seeing what you’ve been getting up to on the learning blog and through the teacher challenges. There were some delicious looking entries into the pizza challenge.
For my third challenge, I would like you to make a meal for everyone in your house. It might be breakfast, it might be lunch, it could be your favourite meal, it could be a meal you make as a family or it might be a brand new culinary experience for you all!
Remember to send in your pictures and tell me what it is you’ve been cooking - I’m looking forward to seeing your pictures already!
Cookery Challenge 2
Hi Everyone!
I hope you’re all still safe and well. I loved seeing some of your entries into the malteser challenge and there’s a great one this week too - pizza!
Your challenge to make your own pizza at home. You can make it however you would like to – you might use a tortilla for the base, you might use bread for the base or you might want to make your own dough. Then, cover with your favourite toppings.
The photos of mine are below…
I can’t wait to see your entries. Happy Cooking!
Hi everyone!
I hope you’re all keeping safe and busy. One of my favourite things to do is bake and cook. I’ve seen on twitter and the blog that lots of you have been busy in your kitchens too so my challenge to you is to create a malteser cake.
It is completely delicious (and so easy to make). Be careful though – once you’ve made it, you’ll have to keep a close eye on it to make sure it isn’t gobbled up before you have a piece!
You can find and use your own recipe if you’d like to but, if you want to make the same one I did, these are the ingredients:
100g margarine or butter
3 tablespoons of golden syrup
200g milk chocolate (I always use the cheapest chocolate – usually about 20-30p a bar)
100g white chocolate
225g digestives
200g maltesers (a multi-bag of mini malteser packets is sometimes the cheapest way of getting 200g)
