Welcome to year four - our team consists of Mr MacDonald, Miss Holmes, Mrs Stringer, Miss Parkinson, Miss Thompson and Mrs Charles.
This term Y4 are going wild!
Our novel for the summer term is brand new to the school - Kensuke's Kingdom by Michael Morpurgo. The classrooms will change as Michael's adventure develops.
Linking with the book, we will be looking at the wildlife around us. We have already been into the wildlife area to see how the design has a positive impact on local wildlife and provides a variety of animals with a self-sustaining habitat.
Our next step after analysing how effective the area is is to see what we can do to improve it and how we can classify the different living things. Get ready for some very excited children asking to come to school in old clothing as we revamp and improve the area.
We have also booked a trip to Old Moor Nature Reserve to look at food chains and natural habitats different to those we can find in our wildlife area.
Another event to watch out for is the annual combined Arts Week project, another week where children can show a range of talents in the performing arts.
Swimming will continue on Friday afternoons until Friday 12th July so make sure your child has their towel, costume and swimming cap ready to go every Friday.
