Welcome to year four - our team consists of Mr MacDonald, Miss Holmes, Mrs Stringer, Miss Parkinson and Mrs Hepworth.
There's something fishy going on in Y4 this term!
Our new novel 'The Boy Who Swam With Piranhas' is rather exciting - keep checking with your children for the latest developments as we follow our main character Stan through some very interesting challenges in his life.
The classrooms will change as we follow Stan on his adventures so make sure to ask about this or even better, pop in and see them for yourself.
Linking with the book, we will also be looking at work by David Miller (an artist who has done some beautiful art work to do with fish). The children will have the opportunity to draw, paint and create their own fish out of clay as well as experiencing a new technique - batiq.
Running alongside the fishy theme, the children will be delving into the history of the Ancient Romans, studying the similarities and differences between their own lives and those of the Romans and studying the legacy left behind by them.
Other events to watch out for are the STEM project coming up in February and a Spring concert all about choosing respect.
